Trevon Martin: Zimmerman to be charged in shooting of teen

Trayvon Martin
Angela Corey, Florida special prosecutor, is planning to announce Wednesday that George Zimmerman, formerly of Va., will be charged in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to officials close to the investigation.
It was not immediately clear what charge Zimmerman will face. Martin was shot and killed Feb. 26 by Zimmerman, who was acting in self-defense and was not originally charged due to Florida’s “stand your ground” law.
In its resonance, the story has created significant community protest while altering public discourse, namely on the issue of “stand your ground” legislation which protects a person who reasonably believes that force is necessary to “prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another.”
Protest organizers are asking participants to wear all black or a hoodie in solidarity.

Zimmerman has still not been charged for his actions as he claimed self defense even though Martin was not armed, however witnesses are contradicting the shootTrevon Martain Tribute
